ハワイ島でいまおこっていること。 ＷＥ ＡＲＥ ＭＡＵＮＡ ＫＥＡ

First of all, I would like to express my deep respect and love for all beautiful people who stands for Mauna Kea Movement…..

I love my hometown in Japan.

This island teaches everything for us to be alive. The power of nature still speaks.
The ancient people knew that this mountain itself is the god, so they didn't even build the gate in the island, then they built it in the ocean for the god to pass through.

So beautiful...it is the power of love.

What if the TMT will be built on the top of this mountain ?

I would stand it to protect for all my life.

The science is wonderful and sacred as well,
Only If it stands for protecting the nature instead of ruling the world.

At the same time I realized one thing about Mauna Kea Movement.

We could see the beauty of humanity again because of this accident.
That is why the creator always prepare both good and bad...

At the last , I realized that

The most important thing is not the result, but your action without any attachment, but with unconditional love.

Even if we couldn’t convince the governments officer, that is not the big matter,

Because the children have already seen your story behind of your action and faith.

You have already put the bridge between generation to generation.
It is invisible, but that is the key.

I will write the letter to the TMT project office of National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, as well.
It is not for fight, but it is the peaceful communication to talk about the wonder and miracle of both Nature and Science.
With my prayer.

わたしはとてもこの故郷を美しいと思う。そして愛している。
中でもこの世界遺産、宮島の光は一段と強い。
その昔、人々は知っていた。
この島自体が御神体であることを。その御神体の上になど申し訳ないといって、大鳥居は島の中ではなく、海中にたてたその畏敬の念に感動する。

今、ハワイ島で起こっていること。同じような巨大な望遠鏡をこの御神体のしかも頂上になど建設する計画が現れたら、私たち日本人は平気で賛成するのだろうか。
私は生きている限りNOと言い続けるだろう。
ハワイ島でも人々は伝えている。わたしたちも星や宇宙、科学を愛している。ただただ、場所を見直してほしい、と嘆願しているだけなのだ。

科学自体は本当に素晴らしいと思う、。そして本来神聖なもの。
もしそれを支配ではなく自然を守ることに使ったなら。
その心さえあれば自ずと、適切なタイミングとやり方、そして何処でやってはいけないのか、わかるはず。

ただ、この事件で感じたことがある。もしこの事件がおこらなければ、これだけの美しい魂たちの声を聞けただろうか？みんなが見ただろうか？だから神さまはいつも良いものと悪いものを共に用意するのだ、と。

そして気づく。
大切なのは、実は結果ではない。
この先、もしもハワイ州が彼らの声を聞かずとも、その結果に嘆く必要はないのかもしれない。
すでに子どもたちは、あなたたちの声を聞き、背中をみて、物語と信念を感じ取っているはず。
だから、その行動そのものに神聖さが宿っている、ということ。
結果に囚われてはいけない。
その行動をする人は、目に見えない橋を、すでに世代から世代にかけている。
それが、鍵なんだ。
